That’s fine; they’re just sore that the 9/11 terrorists didn’t come from Canada but from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan etc. Of course they make a mockery of Canadians; America doesn’t like it when they’re on the losing end; they preach Capitalism worldwide but when they come up against countries that are more efficient and more profitable than they are, they sulk and whine. They don’t like it when foreigners come to their country, but barge into other countries like bullies. Some disparity.

amartinjoe-well for your info -during our “interogation” on the US frontier -the guards “slagged off” (critisised ) Canada openly ,in front of us and other Canadians and US waiting to cross.They implied ,among other things, you were unable to protect your borders properly.

I’m Canadian and visited the U.S. through the Detroit border in 2007; they had mistaken me for someone in their watch list; they treated me like shit in there and I had to be really calm and nice about the whole thing so as not to give them any reason to shove a baton up my ass. I understood that maybe they treat foreigners like this, but boy, there were Americans in there treated just as worse.

We are a white British family and returned from a holiday today to Ontario. My children wanted to visit the US for an afternoon on a bridge they saw between Toronto and Montreal-.I have never been so humiliated in my life. The US took photographs of all of us and took fingerprints in a public area of everyone apart from the boy. They removed our passports and searched our hire car in our absence.We had to pay money for this privilidge. We will never visit the us again- but Canadians are nice

I recently just went to Canada to see a mueseum through the Windsor/Detroit tunnel. They (Canadian border patrol) searched my moms van like there was crack in it, held me for an hour in customs and immigration and sent me back on suspicion I was trying to kidnap my brother! So they can talk. The US guy was actually friendly that day! With Canada, I never meet more ignorant boneheads in my life!
